Bungoma

Bungoma County is a county in the former Western Province of Kenya. Its capital is Bungoma or Bungoma Town. It borders the republic of Uganda to the North west, Trans-Nzoia County to the North-East, Kakamega County to the East and South East, and Busia County to the West and South West. It has It has nine administrative sub-counties: Bumula, Kabuchai, Kanduyi, Kimilili, Mt. Elgon, Sirisia, Tongaren, Webuye West and Webuye East. According to the 2019 Kenya Population and Housing Census the population is 1,670,570 with a population density of 760/km2
