The partnership between the Emergency Medicine Kenya Foundation (EMKF) and the Nyeri County government, established in 2018, has significantly strengthened the emergency healthcare system in the county. Key achievements include capacity building for staff in emergency care, equipping the emergency departments, and supporting the development of the Nyeri County Emergency Medical Care (EMC) plan 2020-2025. Continuing this collaboration, EMKF, in partnership with Treating with a Mission and Polish Aid, will set up a Public Ambulance Dispatch Centre in Nyeri County and renovate and equip the Emergency Department at the County Referral Hospital. This project is co-financed within the framework of the Polish development cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
