Boosting Emergency Healthcare in Nyeri County: A Milestone Achievement

Today marked a transformative moment for emergency medical care in Nyeri County with the unveiling of the newly renovated Emergency Department with state-of-the-art facilities at the Nyeri County Referral Hospital (NCRH).

This vital project, a testament to the power of collaboration, was made possible through a joint effort by the Polish Development Co-operation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs-Republic of Poland, the County Government of Nyeri, Treating with a Mission and EMKF.

The newly revamped 13-bed Accident & Emergency facility is equipped with modernized beds, vitals monitor, oxygen-ready ports, and a contemporary nurses’ station to enhance the delivery of life-saving care, ensuring faster and more effective responses for patients in Nyeri and neighbouring counties.

This renovation and expansion project not only enhances the capacity of the emergency department but also aligns with EMKF’s mission to strengthen emergency healthcare systems in Kenya to save lives. By fostering partnerships like these, we are paving the way for improved emergency healthcare delivery and better patient outcomes.

This project is co-financed within the framework of the Polish development cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
